Reporting to: Operations Manager, Central

Position Summary

The Logistics Customer Service Agent is responsible for helping to maintain the day-to-day operation and administrative duties associated with the Dispatch Center. This role will interact directly with our customers both internal and external, record and screen all incoming orders, use the dispatch computer and software programs for accurate data entry, and record keeping. This position is also required to complete all US border documentation.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • updated knowledge of all company products and services to provide adequate education to customers.
  • incoming phone calls, emails and respond to customers, record orders, and provide routine information to customers to generate interest in new products and connect customers with Regional Sales Manager when required.
  • operating sequences to enter all incoming orders in to dispatch software.
  • dispatch in checking if all products are available at the time of the order by verification with load source.
  • all US inter jurisdictional paperwork.
  • of contract pricing across multiple platforms.
  • of completed orders to begin the billing process.
  • and record customer feedback and information and share with appropriate departments.
  • computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail, and database software in performing work assignments.
  • perform additional tasks, as required by the Operations Manager.


Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent work experience in Transportation, Logistics.

2+ years of experience in a customer service-related role.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Positive, service-oriented attitude.

Organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.

Good computer skills using various software platforms and excellent phone disposition.

Willingness to work independently or as part of a team.

Ability to foster and maintain relationships especially with truck drivers and staff.

Bulk liquid knowledge or experience would be an asset.
